TITLE: Dance Coach REPORTS TO: Building Principal / Assistant Superintendent JOB GOALS: To help participating students achieve a high level of skill, an appreciation for the values of discipline and sportsmanship and an increased level of self-esteem. QUALIFICATIONS: • Thorough knowledge of coaching principles and practices • Knowledge of budgeting and financial arrangements • Knowledge of rules and regulations as they pertain to the area being coached and ability to deal effectively with co-workers, athletes, students, administers and the public. • Any additional qualifications which may be required for a particular sport. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB: • Coaches individual participants in the skills necessary for excellent achievement in dancing. • Plan and schedule regular program practice. • Over-see the safety conditions of the facility or area in which the activity is being held. • Enforce discipline and sportsman like behavior among participants in the sport activity. • Attend Booster Club meetings. • Attend all meetings. • Be familiar with and follow the guidelines established in Ohio County Board of Education Regulation 4020.01. • Perform other duties as assigned. Terms of Employment: Length of employment term varies according to sport/season.
