POSITION OPENING: Junior Varsity Girls Tennis Coach POSITION:                   Junior Varsity Girls Tennis Coach REPORTS TO:             ATHLETIC DIRECTOR HOURS:                       10-20 HOURS PER WEEK JOB GOAL : To provide instruction of high school athletes in the fundamental skills and strategy of tennis and also instill moral values, pride of accomplishment, acceptable social behavior, self-discipline and self-confidence WHAT WE NEED: Experience Coaching tennis Experience or plan of building a K-12 tennis program Knowledge/experience scheduling practices and off season workouts Teach techniques and fundamentals of sport Be able to demonstrate all skills necessary for the sport Be knowledgeable about the rules and regulations of the sport Assume the responsibility for constant care of equipment and facilities being used Conduct structured practices that stay within the confines of the specified times at the Athletic Department Be an example of good character and sportsmanship to team at all times Conduct fundraisers to provide money for team supplies and needs Organize and manage JV matches and assist with overall program coordination WHAT YOU NEED: 1. Works cooperatively with administrators, students, parents, and community. 2. Ability to assist in all aspects of the tennis program. 3. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to developing student-athletes both on and off the field. 5. Develop a positive team culture focused on sportsmanship, accountability, and academic success. 6. Ensure player safety and adherence to district, league, and MHSAA policies. 7. Coordinate offseason conditioning, strength training, and skill development programs. 8. Maintains control of storage and use of school-owned property. 9. Maintains professional competence. 10. Other duties as assigned by the Athletic Director.
