Description:
The head coach is responsible for planning, managing and directing the entire 9-12 grade(s) Lees Summit West HS Football program. Specific shall include, but are not limited to the following tasks:
Coaching th
e varsity football team
Coordinating with administration to hire assistant coaches
Directing and supervising assistant football coaches
Managing all aspects of the program including practicing, competing, providing off-season improvement opportunities to include strength and conditioning and full usage of contact days
Marketing and promoting the football program
Coaching, guiding, and providing feedback to student athletes
Scouting opponents.
Managing a fiscally sound budget
Monitoring class schedules, grades and student-athlete academic progress, and intervening where appropriate.
Responsible for football student-athlete retention
Articulation with the feeder middle school program
Providing summer camp opportunities for elementary students
