Assistant Girls' Volleyball Coach (2026-2027 Season)
Qualifications:
All coaches in an IHSA sport must hold an Illinois Teaching Certificate/Substitute Certificate, ASEP certificate (American Sport Education Program) or have completed an approved national Federation of High Schools (NFHS) coaching certification program. Coaches must maintain current AED/CPR certification and meet all IHSA coaching certification annual requirements.
Previous coaching experience
Excellent organizational and communication skills
Compensation:
Based on experience assigned on the
Athletic Extra Duty Stipend Schedule

Job Summary:
The Assistant Coach will be responsible for helping build and maintain the girls volleyball program which will include, but is not limited to:
Helping maintain levels of competition
Assisting with summer camps for current and prospective players
Assisting in monitoring all athletes academic progress
Following and enforcing established eligibility requirements of District 12, KRC and the IHSA
Assisting with individual practices to provide individual and team development
Following team rules and goals that are shared with players and parents
Following established procedures in the event of an injury to an athlete
Ensuring all athletes are supervised at all times when involved with team activities
Acting as a positive role model and maintaining proper sportsmanship on the team at all times
Assisting in maintaining an inventory of all equipment
Attending professional development clinics/conferences specific to girls volleyball
