Babcock (Babcock Ranch) is seeking a dynamic, motivated, and culture-driven Varsity Head Football Coach to lead and elevate our football program. This is more than a coaching position—it’s an opportunity to build something meaningful, develop student-athletes, and establish a lasting tradition rooted in excellence, discipline, and community pride. We are a newer Charter School in our 2nd season of 11-man tackle football. Our high school enrollment is approximately 350 students with projected growth of at minimum 500 by 2028 and building each year. Position Overview The Varsity Head Football Coach will serve as the leader of the football program, responsible for developing a competitive team culture, fostering student-athlete growth, and building a program that reflects strength, accountability, and unity both on and off the field. What We’re Looking For -Highly motivated with a passion for building a program from the ground up -Understands the importance of culture over talent and leads with purpose -Prioritizes strength, conditioning, and physical development as foundational pillars -Believes in developing the whole athlete—academically, athletically, and personally -Is committed to building relationships with players, families, and the community -Brings energy, organization, and a clear vision for program growth and sustainability Key Responsibilities Program Leadership & Culture -Establish and maintain a strong, positive team culture built on discipline, accountability, and pride -Set clear expectations and standards for athletes and assistant coaches -Develop leadership within the team and empower student-athletes Strength & Development -Implement and oversee a strength and conditioning program -Emphasize physical toughness, injury prevention, and athletic performance -Promote multi-sport participation and overall athletic development Tradition Building -Create and sustain program traditions that build identity and pride -Develop rituals, team standards, and competitive expectations that last beyond seasons Community Engagement -Actively engage with parents, alumni, and the local community -Build strong relationships that support and grow the program -Represent the school with professionalism and integrity Game & Practice Management -Plan and execute effective practices focused on fundamentals and development -Develop game strategies and prepare athletes for competition -Oversee all aspects of the varsity program, including staff coordination Preferred Qualifications -Previous coaching experience (head coaching experience preferred) -Strong knowledge of football fundamentals, strategy, and player development -Experience with strength and conditioning programs -Proven ability to build relationships and lead young athletes Why This Opportunity?
