Catalina Foothills High School is looking for a Head Coach to join our program. Apply now. HEAD COACH- E-SPORTS Stipend Range: $1,500- $1,791 DOE Target Start Date: August 2026 Definition: Reports to the Athletic Director who provides overall objectives and final evaluation in conjunction with the high school principal. Essential Functions: The E-Sports head coach is responsible for managing the E-Sports team; setting lineups, communicating with students and families, and abiding by AIA bylaws. The head coach is responsible for maintaining a safe environment for all students, as well as promoting positive teamwork and sportsmanship. General Tasks: The position includes other aspects such as extended time, risk injury factors and due process predicaments.  It is the express intent of the job description to give sufficient guidance to function.  In cases not specifically covered, it shall be assumed that a coach will exercise the common sense and good judgment of a prudent and reasonable person. Duties and Responsibilities: Have a thorough knowledge of all the athletic policies approved by the high school administration, and be responsible for implementation by the entire staff of the sports program.  Have knowledge of the existing system, state and region regulations; implementing same consistently, and interpreting for staff and athletes.  Understands the proper administrative line of command and refers all requests or grievances through proper channels.  Maintains discipline, manages grievances, and works to increase morale and cooperation.  Develops, organizes, and supervises practices and competitions to ensure ethical participation, the safety of all who are present, as well as the adherence to all AIA and NFHS rules of the sport.  Performs other duties which may be assigned by the athletic director/principal.  Assists the athletic director in scheduling, providing transportation and requirements for tournament and special sports events.  Assists in the necessary preparation to hold scheduled sport events or practice.  Advises the athletic director of recommendations pertaining to changes in policy. Qualifications: Valid Arizona Teacher Certification or Substitute Certificate required. Employment as a teacher at the Catalina Foothills School District is preferred .  Must have ability to organize and supervise a total sports program.  Should possess substantial knowledge of the technical aspects of the sport and at the same time, continue to examine new theories and procedures pertinent to the field.  Must be CPR and First Aid certified. Must have a current IVP fingerprint clearance card without restrictions. Must have a valid Arizona driver's license with clean driving record. Must be able to drive a district vehicle (small van) to matches and serve as the supervising adult.
