Platte Valley Middle School-7th Grade Head Volleyball Coach
Desired:
Two years of experience as a Volleyball player or as a coach.
Knowledge of Volleyball skills, rules, and applicable drills.
Reports to and evaluated by: Assistant Principal/Athletic Director.
Supervises: Assistant Volleyball coaches
Job Goal: To promote a middle school Volleyball program in which the student can excel to her full potential while competing in an atmosphere that adds to her total education including his physical well-being, moral character and social and mental development.
Essential Duties & Performance Responsibilities:
Coordinates the Volleyball program at the Middle School level.
Development and organization of practice programs to provide both individual and team development.
Instructs student-athletes on sport knowledge, rules and techniques.
Acts as a liaison for the Middle School Volleyball program to the staff, administration, high school Volleyball program and general public.
Plans and develops responsibilities for hosted tournaments. Including but not limited to set up, tear down, etc. (with support of Assistant Principal/Athletic director).
Maintains professional growth through attendance of coaching clinics and conferences.
Assists in the coordination of managers and event support.
Follows the Northern Plains Middle Association (NPMLA) Bylaws.
Evaluates assistant coach and participants.
Performs other tasks and assumes other responsibilities as the AD, Principal, Superintendent and/or the board may assign.
Terms of Employment: For duration of approved athletic season, pending background check.
Evaluation: Performance of this position will be evaluated in accordance with the board's policy on evaluation of coaching personnel.
