Craig Middle School is looking for an enthusiastic and team oriented candidate to fill a
Head Track Coaching
position.
*Salary:
Salary commensurate with experience on our extracurricular pay scale
Responsibilities:
The Head Coach reports to the Athletic Director and is responsible for the following and other duties as assigned.
Leadership is to be provided by the coach in the following areas:
Assists with conducting practices, motivating students, and instructing players in rules, regulations, equipment, and techniques of the sport.
Organizes and directs individual and small group practice activities/exercises as directed by the head coach.
Assisting with coordinating all levels of the program and summer/off season programs
Implementing of expectations and direction of the program
Preparation of team for competition
Communication with parents, players, school staff, media, etc.
Following school and CHSAA regulations and policies
Represents the school and school district at all times during interscholastic practices, meetings, and activities.
Conducts their work within the framework of the goals of the school system, the Board of Education policies and procedures of the department of athletics within the designated school and sport/club they have been hired.
Expected to follow all rules, protocols and procedures as outlined in the handbooks, school district policies and regulations, rules and expectations.
Follow the guidelines of FERPA regarding student information and confidentiality.
Coaches are a part of the MCSD team they will represent and handle all issues professionally, confidentially and be transparent about any issues that arise.
Qualifications:
Required:
High School Diploma or equivalent
Previous track coaching experience and/or knowledge of the fundamental and advanced skills of track.
CPR/First Aid Certified
Knowledgeable of CHSAA regulations or willingness to become knowledgeable
Be willing to be part of a team environment

Knowledge of all aspects of the Moffat County School District athletic/activity programming
Proven leadership qualities and successful experience in working with students
