Job Description:
Basalt High School is seeking a knowledgeable and enthusiastic
Head Boys Football Coach
to lead our football program. The ideal candidate will be a positive role model, skilled instructor, and team-builder who is passionate about the game of football and committed to developing student-athletes both on and off the field.
The Head Coach will be responsible for all aspects of the boys football program, including coaching, player development, scheduling, and program administration. We're looking for a coach who values sportsmanship, fosters a love for the game, and helps create a fun yet competitive team culture.
Responsibilities:
Plan and conduct all practices and team events for the boys football program
Teach fundamental and advanced football techniques, strategies, and rules
Promote sportsmanship, character development, and academic success
Communicate effectively with athletes, parents, school staff, and the athletic department
Ensure program alignment with CHSAA, Roaring Fork School District, and Basalt High School policies
Manage equipment, uniforms, and field scheduling
Build positive relationships in the community to support the growth of the sport
Preferred Qualifications:
Prior coaching or competitive playing experience in football
Strong communication and organizational skills
Ability to inspire and motivate student-athletes of all skill levels
CHSAA coaching certification (or willingness to obtain)
First Aid/CPR/AED certification (or willingness to obtain)
Experience working in a school or educational setting is a plus
Stipend pay range for the season is $5,343.00 - $6,732.00 - based on any
previous paid coaching experience
in this sport.
