Purpose Statement:
Extra-curricular activities are a vital extension of the student experience. The Assistant Football Coach works under the direction of the Head Coach to inspire, motivate, and teach students football-specific skills while fostering positive character traits, teamwork, and relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
Support the Head Coach in managing all aspects of the football program.
Assist in developing and implementing effective practice schedules, strategies, and game plans.
Promote and uphold sportsmanship and team values.
Foster positive relationships with students, staff, and the community.
Ensure student eligibility and adherence to district and state policies.
Collaborate with the Head Coach, athletic directors, and other staff as needed.
Education and Certification:
Assistant Coaches must have completed 60 or more college credit hours prior to coaching.
