SDIRC Steps to Employment as an Athletic Coach 1. Submit your application for an Athletic Coaching Certification with the Florida Department of Education. 2. Apply to become an Athletic Coach through the district's website. 3. Wait to be contacted by Human Resources to schedule your orientation appointment. This only occurs once an offer of employment is extended and accepted. Orientation includes the following fee: Fingerprinting/Workplace screening fee: $118.00 Payable by credit or debit card only at time of service using Visa, Mastercard or American Express. Discover is not accepted. Please note: You may not begin employment until the orientation is complete and Human Resources has given final clearance.
