The Interscholastic Strength and Conditioning 1st Assistant at Fox Chapel Area High School is an integral member of the school's educational team, using athletics as a platform for teaching discipline, teamwork, and perseverance. High School and/or college coaching experience preferred. Specifically, experience and knowledge of training and coaching Long Jump and High Jump. Coaching strength and conditioning, programs preferred. Able to build personal and professional relationships with administration, teachers, coaches, student athletes and parents. Prepares, plans, responsible and well organized. Dedicated and concerned about equipment, safety, sharing of athletes, academic progress and participation numbers. Encourages student athlete development at the high school, middle school and youth level. Provides proper jumping instruction, teaching skills and strategies. Is knowledgeable and has an understanding of coaching and practicing rules and policies governed by the IHSAA. Positive role model and motivator.
