Under the direction of the Principal, the Athletic Director, and the head coach supports overall responsibility for the boys' basketball program. Duties include but are not limited to tryouts and selection of squads, conditioning, supervision of practices and games. Some background in coaching is desirable. Ability to achieve the confidence and respect of students, make decision and judgments. One or more years of paid or volunteer experience leading in organized youth activities/sports. Knowledge of care and prevention of athletic injuries, coaching techniques, rules and regulations of activities, and adolescent psychology. Must have the ability to bend, stoop, grasp, and reach. May be required to stand for prolonged periods on hard surfaces and work outdoors in weather of varying temperatures and conditions.
