This job is best suited for someone with significant experience in coaching/participating in tennis and in developing young athletes while building a strong, positive, and competitive team culture. Coaches mentor, train, and educate athletes in skills and techniques while serving as positive role models for student athletes. Coaches also work to train and educate athletes in safety and injury prevention. We have a talented and committed group of athletes, a great community, and a tradition of excellence in our programs. • Provide an atmosphere conducive to good sportsmanship. • Assist in conducting tryouts for a team or for an individual to participate in a competition; help select the players for a team who will represent the school. • Assist in practices by instructing and working with athletes to direct them with perfecting their abilities and providing them guidance in keeping fit for competition and teaching them how to react under the pressure of competitive play.
