GO LONGHORNS! Basalt High School seeks energetic, dedicated, and inspiring Assistant Coach for our JV Team for the 2026-2027 volleyball program. Coach will instruct student-athletes in the fundamental skills, team strategies and physical training necessary for them to realize a degree of individual and team success. At the same time, the students shall receive instruction that will lead to the formulation of moral values, pride of accomplishment, acceptable social behavior and communication skills, self-discipline, and self-confidence. Prior coaching experience strongly desired, as is substantial volleyball knowledge and instructional/motivational rapport with students. Start Date: August 2026 Salary Range: $3,696.00 - $4,583.00, based on previous paid coaching experience. The Assistant Coach Girls Volleyball JV Team at Basalt High School is designed for a coach who believes that athletics is a powerful tool for teaching life skills. This role centers on developing student‑athletes as people first and competitors second, helping them learn responsibility, perseverance, and teamwork in a structured and supportive environment. The program places a strong emphasis on clear communication, mutual respect, and long‑term development rather than short‑term results alone. On a daily basis, the Assistant Coach Girls Volleyball JV Team is responsible for planning and delivering practices that are active, safe, and inclusive. Training sessions should include a balance of fundamentals, decision‑making drills, and live or game‑like situations so that athletes are constantly learning.
