The Assistant Track Coach serves under the direction and supervision of the Head Track Coach and the Athletic Director. This person will be responsible for assisting in the planning, organizing, and directing of the track program as well as manage the conduct of athletes in the locker room, at practices and team functions, on the bus, and at games. Independent judgment and decision-making are required in many matters not having established rules, regulations, policies, or precedent. All coaches must complete staff training on Child Abuse Identification and Prevention in Oregon Schools; Sexual Misconduct – Staff-to-Student; and Bullying Prevention in Oregon Schools. The following coaching positions are available for the spring season 2025: Head Coach (2) Assistant Coach (2) Qualifications for all positions: CPR Certified. Duties to include, but not limited to: 1.Responsible for the planning and scheduling of a regular program of practice. 2.Oversees the safety conditions of the facility or area in which assigned sport is conducted at all times in which students are present. 3.Enforces teamwork, discipline and sportsmanlike behavior at all times, and establishes and oversees penalties for breach of such standards by individual students. 4.Reports to Athletic Director and the Principal. 5.Will attend all meetings and safety training sessions as directed by the Athletic Director or Principal.
