SUMMARY:
To help each participating student achieve a high level of skill development, and create an appreciation for the values of student connectedness, discipline and sportsmanship, and an increased level of self-esteem.
OVERALL DUTIES
Coaches individual participants in the skills necessary for excellent achievement in the sport involved.
Plans, schedules, and attends a regular program of practice in season.
Oversees the safety conditions of the facility or area in which assigned sport is conducted.
Establishes participant criteria based on student athlete skill, ability, and eligibility and informs parents and participants of these criteria.
Works collaboratively with the athletic director and varsity head coach in implementing the philosophy and direction of the sport.
