A Head Coach teaches student athletes the basics of particular sport, as well as setting structure for the offensive and defensive play during games and managing subordinate coaches. Other duties include arranging practices and recruiting new players. Their role is enhance the skills and abilities of the athletes with a stress on enjoying the spirit of the game. The head coach may work with an assistant to plan the strategies and overall game. The Head Coach will guide student-athletes to play a fair game following rules and regulations; and to encourage students to maintain academic eligibility.
