REPORTS TO: The Assistant Coach working at an intermediate and middle school reports directly to the building Principal; however, the IMS Athletic Director acts as the Principal’s Designee. SUPERVISES: The Assistant Coach does not supervise anyone. GENERAL SUMMARY: The Assistant Coach supports the Head Coach in all aspects of the assigned (intermediate) middle school sport and works collaboratively with school staff and the athletic department to maintain a positive and successful athletic program. The Assistant Coach helps instruct student-athletes in fundamental skills, rules, strategies, and physical training to promote both individual and team development. This role includes assisting with practices, games, student supervision, and maintaining a safe and respectful environment.
