The High School Defensive Coordinator is responsible for leading and managing all aspects of the defensive side of the football program.  This position plays a vital role in developing student-athletes both on and off the field by fostering discipline, accountability, leadership and teamwork.  The Defensive Coordinator works closely with the Head Coach and coaching staff to build a competitive, well prepared, and fundamentally sound defense that reflects the values and standards of Lexington Senior High School. The High School Assistant Football Coach supports the Head Coach in all aspects of the football program, contributing to the development of the student-athletes on and off the field. The position plays a critical role in skill instruction, practice organizaton, game preparation, and fostering a culture of discipline, sportsmanship and accoutabilty. The Assistant Coach is expected to serve as a positive role model and uphold the values and standards of Lexington Senior High School. Qualifications - Previous playing or coaching experience at the High School or Collegiate level. - Strong Knowledge of Football Fundamentals, rules and strategies - Ability to motivate and mentor high school students Preffered to have a teaching license or eligibilty of employment with the school district.
