PERFORMANCE STANDARDS: Has a shared responsibility of emphasizing the importance of excelling in academics as well as athletics. Has full responsibility for the overall supervision of the program, including junior varsity and varsity teams. Is in charge of assigning all duties of assistant coaches working under his/her supervision. Is responsible for keeping practice periods for the sport within the confines of the time specified by the athletic director and with due consideration to the coaching staff and welfare of participants. Is responsible for the general upkeep and protection of equipment under the jurisdiction of the program. Reports periodically while the sport is in season to the athletic director with regard to developments in the program Is directly responsible for a complete inventory of the equipment used for the sport; to be made at the end of each season.
