Durango School District is accpeting applications for Assistant Wrestling Coach at Escalante Middle School. This position includes instructing middle school students (grades 7 and 8) in the fundamental skills, strategies, and physical training of wrestling. We are a member of the San Juan Basin League; the season runs late January 2026 through Mid March 2026.
Preferred Qualifications
Fundamental knowledge of wrestling
Experience working with school-aged athletes
CPR/AED certified, or ability to get certified
Plan and organize practices
Instruct players on techniques to develop fundamental skills
Provide feedback to help players improve
Encourage and support good teamwork and sportsmanship
Assist head coach in other duties
Communicate with players, coaches, parents, AD and admin
