CMS ATHLETICS The Joint CMS Athletics, Physical Education, and Recreation Program is comprised of student-athletes from Claremont McKenna, Harvey Mudd, and Scripps Colleges and offers a comprehensive program of 21 varsity sports (10 men’s, 11 women’s), an aquatics program, physical education courses, and recreational activities. CMS SWIMMING & DIVING CMS is one of the most successful swimming and diving programs in the country, with 61 conference championships between the Athenas and Stags. Both programs are consistently ranked in the top 15 in the nation and produce multiple national qualifiers and have had three different individual national champions in the last three years. Historically, the Stags have a national title to their credit at the NAIA level and have been a national runner-up six times at the NCAA Division III championships while both the Athenas and Stags have had a top-five finish at nationals since 2010.
